Raconteur, cartoonist, and all-around mensch Mister V has been a big supporter of all of us here at 8th Wonder Press.  We talked to him earlier in the year about his contribution to our Uncanny Adventures anthology and he’s got a selection for the SCIENCE section of next year’s anthology that will blow your mind.  (He also did the cover art for our super-sweet “Draw Your Own Comics” book.)

Anyway.

It’s Christmas, and in a move essentially guaranteed to put him up for sainthood, he’s giving away a free minicomic from his series DNR about the time he met Santa.  Just shoot him your address (that’s right, it’s a paper comic, a real thing that requires a stamp to send, and those ain’t cheap Bucko!) and he’ll put you in the holiday spirit right quick.

Go to http://arborcides.blogspot.com/2013/12/let-me-give-you-free-mini-comic.html, hit him up, and enjoy some free comics!  It’s a Festivus miracle!

Uncanny Adventures Front CoverAfter a wonderful Thanksgiving here at the 8th Wonder Press orbital satellite, and stuffed full of good turkey and good wine, we’ve decided to spread the warm feelings around.  Only for tomorrow, November 29th, we’ve made Uncanny Adventures available for only $9.99!  That’s almost 25% off cover price!

Because we believe in our book so much and we know you’ll love reading 170 pages (!!!) of terrific comics as much as we do, we’re joining in on the biggest shopping day of the year and giving you the chance to sample our latest book for under 10 bucks, clams, simoleons, or smackaroos!

And you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your couch to get it delivered to your door!  With all-new cover art by Axe Cop’s Ethan Nicolle, Uncanny Adventures is stuffed full of amazing comics you’ve never seen anywhere else.

That’s right! Comics, barbecue, and live music, all under one roof!

salt-lake-comic-con-flyerUp here at the 8th Wonder Press orbital satellite, we’re happy to announce that we have  a new page up for our upcoming appearances!  Up next is a new comic show and BBQ, and we’re beyond thrilled to announce we’re going to be at the inaugural Salt Lake Comic Con!  We hope to meet you there, shake your hand, and show you some of our fine books.  And be sure to keep an eye on our appearances page, since we may be coming to your city SOON!

Uncanny Adventures Front CoverWe are beyond thrilled that, after a VERY successful debut at Denver Comic Con, our new anthology Uncanny Adventures is now available for purchase through Amazon.com.

This is a book we’re VERY happy to have put out, and we have tons of extremely talented creators involved with the project.  We’ve interviewed several (with more to come!) with samples of what you can expect from the collection.  But it’s a little bit of everything, and it showcases the breadth of sequential art.

From the back cover:

Uncanny Adventures brings together 30 comic creators from around the world to bring you 21 genre-spanning short stories.  From cartoonists just getting their start to established artists presenting their latest works, this collection provides something for every taste. From Victorian horror to science fiction, from autobiographical stories to murder mysteries, Uncanny Adventures showcases the breadth of comics by bringing you tales that will make you think, laugh, and shiver.
